IEI Technology Targets RISC-based Platform
To meet the growing demand for RISC platforms, IEI Technology Corp. (IEI) has developed a RISC R&D team that develops diversified RISC products and customized RISC solutions. Some of the RISC products include RISC single board computers (SBC), RISC Computer-on-Modules (CoM), Panel-ready RISC PC and universal industrial RISC controllers.

DVS-SAN Central Storage Receives Certification from da Vinci Systems
DVS and da Vinci announce that the DVS-SAN is certified as central storage platform for da Vinci’s products Resolve and Revival. The designs of both companies’ systems, which are based on open standards, allowed them to test and confirm the systems’ connectivity in record time. With the DVS-SAN storage system, Resolve and Revival customers can manage their content in one central location, share content with other applications and connect to their content from every step of the workflow in real-time at SD, HD, 2K and even 4K.

CSR Improves in-Car Bluetooth with nFore’s Audio, Speech Enhancements
CSR (LSE:CSR) announced that a range of speech and audio enhancement technologies have been added to CSR’s BlueCore5-Multimedia silicon to improve the quality of in-car Bluetooth applications. CSR has selected nFore’s software to bring noise and echo cancellation and music enhancements specifically for in-car Bluetooth solutions. nFore’s technology comes via CSR’s eXtension Partner Programme, an open DSP developers’ programme which brings a host of third party software enhancements to the BlueCore5-Multimedia platform.

CSR BlueCore5-Multimedia Features Rubidium’s Talking Caller ID TTS
CSR (LSE:CSR) announced that its BlueCore5-Multimedia Bluetooth platform is now available with Rubidium’s Talking Caller ID text-to-speech (TTS) application. Using Rubidium’s embedded TTS technology, Bluetooth headsets and handsfree car kits based on CSR’s BlueCore5-Multimedia silicon can now announce the caller’s name and number. Users of products enabled with this function will now find it easier and safer to decide whether or not to take a call.
