In the technical sessions, engineers from Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman Corporation, and NASA, will join experts from The MathWorks to discuss implementation of Model-Based Design in the aerospace and defense industry. The MathWorks will also hold master classes focusing on advanced programming, code generation, and image processing using MathWorks tools.

In the keynote address, John Douglass, President and CEO of AIA, will discuss a number of issues such as the challenges facing the aerospace industry, promoting interest in aerospace to the next generation on innovators, and the role of technology in advancing a state-of-the-art aerospace industry.

Technical presentations will be given by industry leaders such as BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Northrop Grumman, and The MathWorks. Topics include:

  • Verification and validation
  • Best practices for designs involving large work groups
  • Physical modeling
  • Code generation
  • Video and image processing embedded system design
  • Special Panel

The MathWorks will moderate a special panel discussion entitled "Best Practices for Establishing a Model-Based Design Culture in Aerospace and Defense." Panel members represent the leading aerospace companies including Northrop Grumman Corporation, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, BAE Systems and Rockwell Collins.

The MathWorks will offer master classes throughout the conference on topics such as:

  • Handling large data sets
  • Designing fixed-point DSPs
  • Programming techniques in MATLAB(R)
