Agilent, Sequans Support Rollout of WiMAX Test Systems
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) and Sequans Communications announced a collaboration to support the rollout of Mobile WiMAX(R)-compliant equipment in two ways. They will work on pre-validating the Agilent Protocol Conformance Test (PCT) system, and on the speed-optimization of RF power-calibration and production-test systems for both fixed and mobile WiMAX modules.
Sony Ericsson Joins WiMAX Forum
Sony Ericsson, a worldwide provider of PC cards, announced it has become a member of the WiMAX Forum(R). WiMAX(TM) allows high-speed internet access from laptops, phones or other mobile devices over larger distances than previous technologies such as Wi-Fi.

Synopsys Achieves 65nm PCIe, 90-nm USB Compliance with Common Platform
Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq:SNPS), a world leader in semiconductor design software, announced compliance of its PCI Express(R) and certification of its USB 2.0 IP solutions for the Common Platform(TM) technology available from IBM, Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing and Samsung Electronics.
