Expanding its portfolio of eXpressDSP(TM) digital media software for rapid product development, Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE:TXN) and Ittiam Systems announced the availability of several audio and video codecs which will be offered through TI’s Authorized Software Providers (ASPs). ITT Adopts Xilinx Virtex-II QPro Radiation-Tolerant FPGAs for CrIS

As part of the National Polar-orbiting Operational Satellite System (NPOESS) and NPOESS Preparatory Project (NPP), CrIS will collect key atmospheric data to allow for improved calculation of temperature and moisture profiles. Forecasters use this type of data in weather models to improve global weather predictions, storm tracking, and precipitation forecasts. CrIS provides over 50x the number of information channels and enables up to the 3x the accuracy of current systems.

The MB-06067 is a high performance control board designed for IDS/IPS, firewall, VPN gateway and Unified Threat Management (UTM) applications. The control board uses an Intel Pentium M or Celeron M processor with Intel 852GM express chipset and ICH4 I/O controller. It supports system memory up to 1GB with one DDR memory socket. Both CompactFlash and memory can be replaced.
