Windows Embedded for Point of Service 1.1 Update
Microsoft recently released Windows Embedded for Point of Service 1.1 Update. WEPOS v1.1 Update includes:
- Multilingual User Interface Packs (MUIs), providing support for 33 languages (Arabic, Brazilian, Bulgarian, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish).
- Support for POS for .NET 1.11:
- Support for version 1.11 of the UPOS specification
- Added device classes for Biometrics, Electronic Journal, Bill Acceptor, Bill Dispenser, Coin Acceptor, and Image Scanner
- Supports the Unified POS v1.11 specification standard changes for ClearInput, SmartCard, and Printer base classes
