NXP Nexperia Cellular System
The NXP Nexperia 5210 cellular system enables mobile users to simultaneously take advantage of handsets’ Bluetooth and Wireless LAN (WLAN) capabilities. The Nexperia cellular system, which incorporates an unlicensed mobile access (UMA) software stack from Kineto Wireless, allows devices to be used at home over fixed-line broadband networks and while on the go via a cellular network. The simultaneous usage of Bluetooth and WLAN enables these calls to be made using a Bluetooth headset.

Aeroflex W-CDMA ACE 3G Protocol Analysis Test System
The Aeroflex W-CDMA ACE 3G protocol analysis test system is a powerful, yet affordably priced, network emulator designed specifically to meet the needs of design teams focusing on integration and regression testing of W-CDMA mobile devices. The Aeroflex W-CDMA ACE has been designed to facilitate integration and regression testing much earlier in the design cycle of new mobile devices than was previously possible. Unlike using radio test sets on conformance test systems which rely on designs being almost complete before they can inter-operate with the device under test, the Aeroflex W-CDMA ACE supports the early development of protocol test scenarios through its ability to test partial and incomplete designs. For example, the RF hardware, DSP and L2 of the protocol stack can be tested without the L3 being present.

CoWare Processor Designer
The latest CoWare Processor Designer offers increased support for next-generation Very Long Instruction Word (VLIW) processors. The new CoWare Processor Designer enables users to explore a large design space to ensure that the targeted processing power is achieved and the interconnect infrastructure is available to feed data into the processor at an acceptable rate. The latter can only be done in the platform context. CoWare has the combined offering of processor development and platform design to provide the full solution. Without this capability, architecture exploration can take up to several months. Now, with CoWare Processor Designer, it can be done in a matter of hours.

Xilinx 65nm Virtex-5 SXT FPGA
The Xilinx 65nm Virtex(TM)-5 SXT field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) are optimized for high-performance digital signal processing (DSP). The SXT platform establishes an industry record for DSP performance delivering 352 GMACs at 550MHz, while consuming 35 percent less dynamic power as compared to previous 90nm generation devices, and is the first DSP-optimized FPGA family to integrate serial transceivers.

TI TCI6488 DSP
The TI TCI6488 is a highly integrated digital signal processor (DSP) targeted at Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA) base stations. This new three-core DSP, running at 1GHz per core, supports all of the necessary baseband functions required for a macro base station – on a single chip. Designed specifically to solve problems at a system level, this “baseband on a chip” eliminates the need for FPGAs, ASICs and other bridging devices, reducing the total bill of materials for OEMs by up to a factor of five, resulting in lowered equipment costs for service providers.

XCOM-9347 COM Express Module
The XCOM-9347 is a new PowerPC computer-on-module from ACTIS Computer. It is based on the latest PICMG standard for processor mezzanine board. The XCOM-9347 COM Express module (PICMG COM.0 standard) is designed to help build systems without the burden of designing the complex CPU part of the project and focus on the application specific carrier board. This give designers the ability to select the most accurate module for their application and still having the possibility to upgrade the CPU module during product life cycle.
