Paratek Unveils Adaptive Impedance Matching Module for Mobile Handsets
Paratek announces the introduction of a revolutionary new product that will improve RF performance of next-generation mobile handsets. The Adaptive Impedance Matching Module (AIMM(TM)) will give mobile phones the ability to adapt for changing real-world conditions that degrade handset performance. AIMM, designed for rapid insertion into wireless handheld units, is based upon Paratek’s ParaScan(TM) RF tuning material and the recently-introduced ParaTune(TM) family of passive tunable ICs.

Innovative Silicon to Disrupt Embedded Systems Conference

OCP-IP Releases OCP SystemC Channel 2.2

Mentor Graphics Corporation (Nasdaq: MENT) announced that iVivity, a leader in I/O and application processors for networking and storage applications, has selected Mentor Graphics’ 10/100/1000 Mbps and 10G Ethernet Intellectual Property (IP) cores for the iVivity iDiSX architecture. Mentor’s industry-leading Ethernet IP family was chosen due to its robust characteristics, including standards-compliance and ease of integration.

ADLINK Debuts PCI-8144 4-Axis Stepper Motor Control Card
ADLINK Technology Inc. announced the PCI-8144, a cost-effective 4-axis stepper motor control card with four pulse output channels. The PCI-8144 delivers high-frequency pulse rates of up to 2.4 MHz, supporting high-speed motors at higher resolutions with faster acceleration. Up to 12 PCI-8144 control cards can be configured to control up to 48 axes from a single host system. The PCI-8144 also offers precise synchronization across all axes to ensure simultaneous starts and stops for accurate motion of complex systems.
