Tektronix Rolls Out Two Dedicated Mobile WiMAX Test Solutions
Tektronix, Inc. Toshiba Unveils Package-on-Package Memory Components for Handsets
Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC) announced availability of high-capacity memory solutions using Package-on-Package (PoP) technology, a multi-chip packaging technique that enables significant circuit board space savings in cellular handsets by stacking a high-density memory component on top of the processor so the two components require only one footprint on the board.

Microchip Introduces PICDEM System Management Kit

Chip Estimate Launches Prime IP Partner Program

Optima Creates First Modular MicroTCA Cabinet Enclosure
Optima EPS, an Elma Company, has announced a cabinet enclosure specifically designed for MicroTCA applications. The modular cabinet features a stacked arrangement of open card cages, fan trays, and heat exchangers. Without top or bottom covers, the open card cages allow air to flow through multiple stacks of MicroTCA shelves. The fan trays and heat exchangers cool the cabinet in this modular configuration. Various implementations of card cage shelves, fans, and cooling units can be configured in the cabinet.

Portalify Receives Mobile Data Messaging Patent
Portalify Ltd, a leading provider of mobile data messaging technology for public safety users, announced that it has been issued United States patent 7,127,494 on its key technology for making the development of mobile data services easier. The same technology has previously won patent protection in Finland.

Kontron Unveils KEEX-2000 3.5-inch Embedded SBC with AMD LX 800
Kontron announced the KEEX-2000 3.5″ embedded SBC based on the 3.5 inches form factor platform and implementing the AMD LX 800@0.9W processor with CS5536 chipset. The KEEX-2000 is one of the industry’s smallest and most widely adopted SBC form factors. The dimensions of the KEEX-2000 3.5″ Form Factor SBC are 105 mm by 146 mm.
