MagnaChip Develops New CMOS Image Sensors for Slim Mobile Phones
MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd., a leading global designer, developer and manufacturer of image sensor solutions, mixed-signal and digital multimedia semiconductors, announced the launch of two new high-performance CMOS image sensors for the mobile phone camera market.

Innovasic Offers Replacement IC for Intel 82527 CAN Controller
Innovasic Semiconductor, a leader in replacement integrated circuit (IC) and microcontroller solutions, announced that it will offer a replacement for Intel’s AN/AS82527 Serial Communications Controllers (Control Area Network Protocol). Innovasic’s versions of the chips are identified as IA82527QFP44 and IA82527PLCC. The replacements will be fully form, fit and function compatible with the AN82527 and AS82527.

Agilent Unveils PNA-X Network Analyzer for Active Device Test
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) introduced PNA-X, the new industry standard for microwave network analysis from 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz. This premier-performance network analyzer offers a unique single-connection solution for two-tone and swept LO measurements, featuring an integrated second source and signal combining network.

TI Announces Rugged Encapsulated Tag for Harsh Process Environments
Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE:TXN) (TI) introduced its Overmolded (OM) transponder family comprised of the most rugged RFID tags in its portfolio of ISO/IEC 15693 compliant transponders. The OM tags are designed to withstand extreme environments where temperature, high pressure and harsh chemicals inhibit the performance of line-of-sight automatic identification technologies such as bar codes and other less robust RFID tags. With their durability and small, 22 mm circular dimension, TI’s 13.56 MHz OM tags provide increased read performance compared with competitive offerings for applications ranging from industrial laundry and textile rental to process industries such as perishable foods.

Kontron Creates Stingray Modular Workstation for Food Industry
Kontron announced its new workstation, the Kontron Stingray, a modular, hygienic IP65-rated HMI concept with a food-grade stainless steel front panel that protects against cleaning agents and other environmental hazards. The Kontron Stingray was conceived to satisfy the requirements of a large system operator in the food and beverage industry as well as the strict industry standards regarding the manufacturing of food and beverages and is now available as a standard product in the Kontron portfolio.

AudioCodes Acquires CTI Squared
AudioCodes (Nasdaq:AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice network products, announced its intent to exercise its option to purchase the remaining outstanding shares of CTI Squared Ltd. (“CTI2″), a leading provider of enhanced messaging and communications platforms deployed globally by service providers and enterprises. CTI2′s platforms integrate data and voice messaging services over internet, intranet, PSTN, cellular, cable and enterprise networks. It employs approximately 30 people and they are based in Israel. The impact of the acquisition on AudioCodes’ financial results in 2007 is not expected to be material.

Strategic Test Debuts TRITON Development Kit-4 for PXA320 Processor
Strategic Test Corporation has announced availability of the TRITON Development Kit-4 (TDK-4) based on the Marvell XScale PXA320 processor. The TDK-4 is supplied with both Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 and Linux 2.6.17. The Kit allows early adopters of the new processor to rapidly climb the steep learning curves that can be associated with the adoption of brand new microcontrollers. The core of the TDK-4, the TRITON-320 SODIMM module, can be directly designed into new systems enabling fast time to market.
