    Sequence Design, the EDA leader in power-aware SoC design solutions, announced that wireless IC pioneer Sandbridge Technologies has adopted Sequence’s PowerTheater and CoolTime for “timing-aware” dynamic voltage drop optimization on its next-generation products.

    International Rectifier, IR(R) (NYSE:IRF), a world leader in power management technology, introduced a series of robust single-channel high-voltage integrated circuits (HVIC) for a wide range of applications including motor control, lighting, switch mode power supplies, industrial and welding, and solar panel battery chargers.
  • ARM AMBA Platform IP Available for eASIC 90nm Nextreme Structured ASIC
    eASIC Corporation, a provider of Structured ASIC devices and Configurable Logic IP, announced the availability of ARM AMBA Platform IP (PIP-AMBA) from CAST for eASIC’s 90nm Nextreme Structured ASIC product family. CAST, who joined the company’s newly established eZ-IP Alliance program, will partner with eASIC to provide customers with the essential IP cores and software infrastructure for eASIC’s soft ARM926EJ microprocessor core.
  • Rambus Licenses Memory Patents to Spansion
    Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS), one of the world’s premier technology licensing companies specializing in high-speed chip interfaces, and Spansion Inc. (Nasdaq:SPSN), the world’s largest pure-play provider of Flash memory solutions, announced that they have signed a patent license agreement. This five-year, royalty-based agreement grants Spansion a license to a broad range of Rambus patents. Rambus management does not expect revenue generated from this license agreement to be material. Specific terms of the agreement are confidential.
  • Aeroflex Rolls Out Test Solution for Assisted-GPS Mobile Handsets
    Aeroflex has launched a fully integrated solution for testing A-GPS (Assisted-GPS) enabled mobile handsets. The solution is based on the highly successful and well-proven Aeroflex 6103 AIME and 6103 AIME/CT mobile handset test systems. It has been designed to address the rapidly emerging development and conformance test requirements for A-GPS-based mobile handsets by testing A-GPS implementation in the laboratory thereby eliminating the need for costly field trials and reducing time-to-market. The solution is designed to support the development lifecycle of A-GPS devices from initial R&D through to conformance test.
  • MiraVid Offers Program, Transport Stream Analysis for MSight Analyzer
    MiraVid Inc., a global provider of MPEG technologies and tools, announced the immediate availability of a program and transport analysis option for MSight(TM) Analyzer. The program and transport stream analyzer option enables feature-rich system layer debugging, full system conformance, and STD buffer modeling verification. MSight Analyzer supports H.264, VC-1, and MPEG-4/2/1 over transport stream or program stream.
