  • eInfochips Debuts AMBA AHB Verification Component for Mentor Graphics QVP
    eInfochips, Inc., a leading IP leveraged design services company offering silicon design and verification services, IP cores and embedded systems solutions, announced the availability of AMBA AHB Verification component for the Mentor Graphics(R) Questa(TM) Vanguard program. AMBA AHB verification IP provides necessary building blocks for efficient design-under-test (DUT) for module and system-level verification, including comprehensive assertion testing. Through the Questa Vanguard program, eInfochips will provide verification IP options to help build an established, comprehensive SystemVerilog community for the Questa advanced verification platform user.
  • TI Creates Battery Management Chips for Multi-Cell, Li-Ion Packs
    Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) introduced several new battery management integrated circuits (ICs), including its next-generation Impedance Track(TM) “gas gauge” chipset, to improve battery performance and protect multi-cell, lithium-based battery packs used in notebooks and other systems.
  • VMETRO Ships Phoenix M6000 VXS Intelligent I/O Controller
    VMETRO is now delivering the Phoenix M6000 VXS (VITA-41) intelligent I/O controller with dual PMC/XMC sites to customers. Phoenix is a family of innovative products designed to enable system solutions for real-time multi-processors with high-speed serial communications. Being VXS enabled, the Phoenix M6000 can easily integrate into VMETRO’s existing Phoenix VXS systems to provide an embedded system controller (with a PowerPC 440SP CPU), intelligent PMC/XMC carrier, or high-performance data recording blade.
  • Ramtron Recieves AEC-Q100 Qualification for FM25C160 16Kbit SPI FRAM
    Ramtron International Corporation (Nasdaq: RMTR), a leading developer and supplier of non-volatile ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM) and integrated semiconductor products, has announced that its FM25C160 – a 16Kbit, 5V, SPI FRAM memory device – has been qualified to AEC-Q100 (Automotive Electronic Council’s Stress Test Qualification for Integrated Circuits) standards. The FM25C160 is the third FRAM device to be AEC-Q100-qualified as part of its aggressive automotive qualification programme. Ramtron is also currently developing various FRAM configurations specified for the Grade 1 (-40 degrees to 125 degrees C) operating range.
  • CoWare, VeriSilicon Team on ESL Design Solution for ZSP Processors
    CoWare(R), Inc., the leading supplier of platform-driven electronic system-level (ESL) design software and services, and VeriSilicon Holdings Co., Ltd. (VeriSilicon), a leading world class ASIC design foundry and semiconductor IP provider, announced they have formed a partnership to provide a stronger ESL design solution for the ZSP processor families including the ZSP400 and ZSP500. VeriSilicon chose to work with CoWare after it recently acquired the ZSP division of LSI Logic and consequently became a provider of digital signal processors.
