  • BSQUARE Creates Server Solutions for Dual-Core Xeon, Windows Embedded
    BSQUARE (Nasdaq: BSQR), a leading software and services provider to the global embedded device community, announced that it will provide optimization services and support for server solutions based on the Intel(R) NetStructure(R) MPCBL0050 Single Board Computer, containing the new Dual-Core Intel(R) Xeon(R) processor 5100 series, and Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Embedded Server 2003 R2. For example, OEMs building dedicated embedded server solutions based on the Intel MPCBL0050 will be able to accelerate their time to market by having their image developed by BSQUARE. BSQUARE will also provide system integration and Windows Embedded server licensing.
  • Excel Introduces MacA&D 2.1, MacTranslator 1.1 with Universal Binary
    Excel Software announced Universal Binary editions of MacA&D and MacTranslator for system and software modeling. MacA&D OSX 2.1 runs three times as fast as version 2.0 on Apple’s new Intel based machines by eliminating the need for Rosetta emulation. MacTranslator OSX 1.1 runs about five times as fast on Intel based machines. With the new Universal Binary applications, users enjoy native performance on either PowerPC or Intel based Macintosh computers from the same executable.
  • Measurement Computing Unveils Wireless Temperature Input Devices
    Measurement Computing Corporation, a market leader in low-cost data acquisition, announced the release of two wireless temperature input devices modeled after the popular USB-TC and the USB-TEMP. The new products, the WLS-TC and the WLS-TEMP, are essentially identical to their USB predecessors but with an added RF module, which allows for wireless data transfer.
