    EION Wireless, a global provider of Broadband Wireless Access and Backhaul products, announced the launching of its new WiMAX Essentials Certificate & EION Product Specific Certification and training initiative. This comes on the heels of EION's recent introduction at the WiMAX World Forum in Boston, USA of its Libra MAX(TM) WiMAX Platform product family.

    In what could be a key move in embedded software development, ITTIA is announcing Innotech as its local representative in Japan.   • SEMI Reports $1.50 Billion in Orders for NA Semiconductor Equipment
    North American-based manufacturers of semiconductor equipment posted $1.50 billion in orders in October 2006 (three-month average basis) and a book-to-bill ratio of 0.95 according to the October 2006 Book-to-Bill Report published by SEMI. A book-to-bill of 0.95 means that $95 worth of orders were received for every $100 of product billed for the month.

  • Impulse, Nallatech Introduce C-to-FPGA Design Flow
    Impulse Accelerated Technologies and Nallatech announced the release of an Impulse C Platform Support Package allowing the use of the Impulse CoDeveloper(TM) tools with the Nallatech DimeTALK(TM) FPGA interface. The combined tools allow software application developers to create C algorithms for acceleration on Nallatech's scalable FPGA-based systems, without the need to use low-level HDL programming methods.
  • DDC-I Focuses on Real-Time Java by Joining Safety-Critical Expert Group
    DDC-I, a leading supplier of development tools for safety-critical applications, announced that is has joined the Safety-Critical Java Expert Group (JSR 302). The new group's mission is to create a subset of real-time Java that is suitable for safety-critical applications requiring FAA certification.
