  • Lattice Integrates Verific HDL Component Software into ispLEVER
    Verific Design Automation announced that Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC) last month selected its hardware description language (HDL) Component Software to integrate into Lattice’s ispLEVER(R) 6.1 software design tool suite. Verific’s HDL Component Software –– SystemVerilog, Verilog and VHDL parsers, analyzers and elaborators –– is used for exploring, navigating, analyzing, documenting and modifying large FPGA designs within the ispLEVER design environment via Lattice’s new HDL Explorer(TM) capability.
  • NCT Enables Bluetooth Headsets, Mobile Phones for Extreme Environments
    UK voice technology company, NCT, has announced the release of a new software that will enable Bluetooth headsets and mobile phones to be used in extreme environments such as disco’s, football matches, motor racing circuits, construction sites and airports. NCT’s ClearSpeech Xtreme uses a special technique that uses two microphones, one to pick up the speech, the other to pick up ambient noise. Using the processing power of a digital signal processor (DSP), the noise is removed from the voice signal, enabling clear speech to be heard at the receiving end of the communication.
