- Freescale Improves Motor Control with MC34929 Motor Driver IC
Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE:FSL)(NYSE:FSL.B) has introduced a three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor driver integrated circuit (IC) designed to help drive small motors reliably with reduced board space. The MC34929 IC provides a cost-effective, small-footprint BLDC motor driver solution for a variety of consumer, portable and office equipment applications containing small motors. - Advanced Technetix Acquires EMR Suppression Nanotechnology
Advanced Technetix, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AVXN) announced today that the company has acquired patented electromagnetic radiation suppression nanotechnology earlier this week from Nanonize Corporation, a privately held company located in Ontario, Canada, prior to that company collapsing its operations for lack of ongoing funding. Advanced Technetix will begin incorporating the technology into its existing products and planned consumer electronics accessories, including its patented AccessKey(TM) mobile set-top box family of products. - Texas Instruments Reveals Winners of MSP430 eZ Design Contest
Recognizing innovation and excellence in ultra low power microcontroller (MCU) design, Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) awarded first, second and third place MSP430 eZ Design Contest prizes during the fifth annual MSP430 Advanced Technical Conference in Dallas.
