• Koning to Develop Cone Beam CT CAT Scanner with Mercury Computer Systems
  Mercury Computer Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY) announced a multi-unit/multi-year agreement to provide a wide range of solutions with Koning Corporation, a privately held company based in Rochester, New York. Koning Corporation, an innovator in medical imaging, is developing the next generation of CAT scanners called Cone Beam CT. The company's first system for Breast and Extremities, soon to be introduced at RSNA 2006, offers high spatial and true isotropic resolution, to provide extensive diagnostic information compared to current methods.



• Mercury Computer, BRIT Systems Partner on Medical Image Management
  Mercury Computer Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY) announced a partnership with BRIT Systems, a leading PACS/RIS company based in Dallas, Texas, for the integration and distribution of its image management system. The partnership between the companies paves the way for providing integrated high-end PACS systems, enabling a significantly faster radiological workflow and outstanding image quality for 2D, 3D and 4D data.
• INtime RTOS Runs Side by Side in Asymmetric Multiprocessing
  TenAsys Corporation announces that the company's INtime real-time operating system (RTOS) is in use by a large European industrial manufacturer in an asymmetric multiprocessing configuration. In this application, two copies of the INtime RTOS are being run, one on each core of the Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processor. Each of the cores is running its own time-critical process; one core implements a real-time control system while the other performs time-critical signal processing.
• Brainport Flanders Workshop Promotes Doing Research in Belgium
  Flanders Investment and Trade, a government agency that promotes business in the northern region of Belgium, today announced that they will host Brainport Flanders, a workshop aimed at researchers living and working in the United States. The workshop, to be held at Stanford University on November 11, will detail the practical aspects of identifying research programs to participate in, government incentives for visiting researchers, and the rewards of living abroad.
