• Synopsys Links PCI Express to AMBA 2.0 AHB with Designware Bridge
  Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq:SNPS), a world leader in semiconductor design software, today announced the availability of the DesignWare(R) Bridge for PCI Express to AMBA 2 AHB intellectual property (IP) linking between the PCI Express standard to the AMBA(R) 2.0 AHB(TM) protocol. The bridge to AMBA 2.0 AHB protocol is used in conjunction with Synopsys’ DesignWare digital IP portfolio for the PCI Express standard, including Endpoint, Root Complex and Dual Mode Cores.
• Digital Angel Receives Patent for Glucose-Sensing RFID Microchip
  The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted Digital Angel Corporation (AMEX: DOC) a patent for its syringe-implantable glucose-sensing RFID microchip, Digital Angel announced today. The RFID microchip measures the glucose concentration levels of diabetic patients and will be marketed and distributed by Digital Angel’s sister company, VeriChip, as an extension to the company’s products benefiting people.
• Altera Offers RoHS-Compliant Development Kits
  Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) today announced that all development kits supporting its latest generation of FPGAs and CPLDs are compliant with the European Union’s (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. Altera offers 10 RoHS-compliant development kits that support the Stratix(R) II, Stratix II GX and Cyclone(R) II FPGA families, and MAX(R) II CPLDs.



• MaxStream XBee XTender Wireless Bridge ZigBee Extends Range to 40 Miles
  MaxStream(R) today announced the availability of the XBee XTender(TM) wireless bridge that extends the range of ZigBee(TM) and 802.15.4 networks up to 40 miles. Because the ZigBee and 802.15.4 standards focus on low-cost, low-power wireless monitoring and controlling of electronic devices, ZigBee modems typically must be located within 100-300 feet to communicate.
• Azul Achieves Superior Test Coverage with Encounter True-Time Test ATPG
  Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS), the leader in global electronic-design innovation, today announced that Azul Systems, a leader in enterprise server appliances that deliver compute and memory resources as a shared network service, has directed its manufacturing test generation development process to Cadence(R) Encounter(R) True-Time Test ATPG solution. Encounter Test joins both Encounter RTL Complier global synthesis and Encounter Conformal(R) Equivalence Checker products in the Azul Systems design flow.

• ARM, Cadence Focus on Testability Requirements with Encounter Test
  Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS) today announced it is collaborating with ARM to expand the breadth of the joint ARM and Cadence(R) Encounter(R) Reference Methodology with the addition of Encounter Test timing and power-aware technology. The addition of True-Time Test ATPG will provide capabilities to develop tests that detect small delay defects while concurrently managing power consumption during test.
• NEC Improves Testability with Cadence Encounter True-Time Test Test
  Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS), the leader in global electronic-design innovation, today announced NEC Corporation is adopting the Cadence(R) Encounter(R) Test products to improve the testability and quality of complex devices used in high-end computers developed by the NEC Computers Division. This was made possible by the deployment of Encounter True-Time Test, which identifies small delay defects, commonly present in devices manufactured using advanced process technology and often not detectable with existing test methodologies.
• European Tech Tour Semiconductor Summit Honors Coresonic
  Coresonic AB, a leading provider of baseband processor technology, was today announced as one of the selected companies in the European Tech Tour Semiconductor Summit 2006. • SYSGO Unveils ELinOS Real-Time Industrial Hard Real-Time Embedded Linux
  SYSGO, the European vendor of reliable device software, today announced the release of ELinOS Real-Time, SYSGO’s Industrial Grade hard real-time Linux solution. ELinOS Real-Time combines the feature richness of Embedded Linux with the safety and hard real-time capabilities of SYSGO’s PikeOS, a separation microkernel based RTOS. ELinOS Real-Time is another milestone in SYSGO’s long-term strategy to provide off the shelf products for the embedded industry.
