- NI Rolls Out LabVIEW Drivers for Wireless Sensor Networks
National Instruments announced LabVIEW drivers for wireless sensor networks, giving engineers and scientists working with these devices the ability to fully integrate their ZigBee, IEEE 802.15.4 or proprietary wireless sensors into the National Instruments LabVIEW graphical development environment. The free driver software works with sensors from three wireless-sensing leaders – Accsense, Accutech and Crossbow Technology – and includes communication functions and example programs compatible with sensors from each vendor. - NI Unveils Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (AI) 3.0
National Instruments announced NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (AI) Version 3.0, the latest upgrade to the interactive software for configuring, benchmarking and deploying complete machine vision applications without programming. This version introduces a new state-machine process model that gives engineers one of the most flexible environments available for configuring vision systems. With this process model, engineers can customize the execution flow of their inspections to meet a wide variety of machine vision challenges, from component alignment to part inspection and verification. Through the use of state machines, Vision Builder AI now combines the flexibility of a programming language with the ease of use of a configuration environment. - Real Time Logic Debuts Barracuda Lua Server Pages for Embedded Systems
Real Time Logic has released the first public version of Barracuda Lua Server Pages, or LSP for short. LSP follows the PHP syntax, and the server side HTML tags start with "<?lsp" and ends with "?>". LSP is very fast when for example compared to PHP. LSP can also handle multiple concurrent requests.
