• NVIDIA Powers Samsung P910 DVB-H-Based Mobile TV Cell Phones
  NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, today announced that its NVIDIA GoForce handheld graphics processing units (GPUs), are powering some of the world’s first mobile TV production roll outs.
• Cypress Creates Address/Data Multiplexed Dual-Ports for Smartphones
  Cypress Semiconductor today added six new members to its family of asynchronous dual-port memory based inter-processor connectivity solutions for next-generation smartphones. The new More Battery Life(TM) (MoBL(TM)) Dual Ports are the first to integrate an Address/Data Multiplexed (ADM) interface. The ADM interface allows for a direct interconnect between the application and baseband processors in 3G and 3.5G smartphones that provide video, music, games and other multimedia functions.
• CSR Debuts UniVox Wireless VoIP Phone Based on UniFi, Single-Chip WiFi
  CSR plc today launched UniVox, a VoIP phone based on the company’s UniFi single-chip WiFi technology. CSR has designed UniVox to enable manufacturers to produce wireless phones for residential use at the lowest cost, and lowest power with up to 20 hours talk time and 400 hours standby time from typical handset batteries, using latest generation access points.



• Cavium Networks Rolls Out NITROX PX Security Processors
  Cavium Networks, a world leader in security, network services and embedded processor solutions, today announced the NITROX PX Security Processor family with 8 new products targeted at next-generation IP Security (IPsec), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Wireless security applications. The NITROX PX Family addresses requirements for new and essential security algorithms and product interfaces by including hardware acceleration for SHA-2, AES-GCM and KASUMI algorithms, and PCI- Express interface in a single chip. The NITROX PX security processors feature the GigaCipher v2 cores with increased code store and enhanced hardware queuing, which enables richer protocol processing and multi-protocol performance.
• Toshiba Ranks First in Mobile HDD Shipments for Portable Devices
  Toshiba, the industry pioneer in mobile hard disk drives (HDDs), continued to top all manufacturers in mobile HDD shipments into portable devices for the second quarter of 2006, according to the most recent storage industry report from research firm International Data Corporation (IDC).
