  • Pixelplus Introduces 1/4.2 Inch 1.3 Megapixel SoC Image Sensor
    Pixelplus, a leading fabless semiconductor company in Korea that designs, develops and markets CMOS image sensors for various consumer electronics applications, today reported the unveiling of the “PO5130?, the Company’s highly customized and enhanced 1.3 megapixel ‘System-on-a-Chip’ (“SoC”) image sensor for various mobile and non-mobile applications.
  • QUALCOMM Acquires Qualphone – Provider of Mobile Software, Test Services
    QUALCOMM, a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, today announced that it will acquire San Diego-based Qualphone Inc., a leading provider of IP-based Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) embedded client software solutions for mobile devices and interoperability testing (IOT) services. The acquisition of Qualphone’s products and resources will help QUALCOMM further accelerate the delivery of multimedia-capable, feature-rich 3G solutions on top of the emerging IMS and Multi Media Domain (MMD) architectures to WCDMA/UMTS and CDMA2000(R) markets. Completion of the acquisition is expected later this month.
