Is msystems for Sale?

It appears msystems may be for sale. Recently there have been reports about the potential sale of the company. Yesterday, msystems released a press release stating they have no comments about the subject. msystems creates, develops, manufactures and markets smart personal storage solutions for a wide range of applications.

Why in the world would a company release a press release stating they have no comments about the rumored sale of the company? It sure sounds like the company is for sale. Otherwise, why not just deny it or not say anything at all instead of issuing a "no comments" press release?
