Cadence Competes Against DAC with Technology on Tour

Posted by Ken Cheung in Events, Training on Thursday, June 29, 2006

Over on DeepChip, there's an article about Cadence's plan to redirect DAC visitors to their own event (Technology on Tour) two blocks away. Cadence will still have a booth at DAC this year, but to see the good stuff, you have to go to their event over at the Four Seasons Hotel.

The move by Cadence, as you can imagine, is pissing some people off. One of the major reasons for going to DAC is so you can see a bunch of vendors at one location. By staging an event two blocks away, Cadence will take visitors away from the DAC floor. End result, visitors will have less time to see the other vendors at DAC. Which would you do, relax at a five star hotel or rush back to the DAC Moscone Center?
