Debugging Multicore System on Chip MCUs
There's an interesting acticle on Embedded.com, Providing more JTAG debug visibility into multicore System on Chip MCUs. The article describes how debugging and calibrating are becoming more difficult as microcontroller clock speeds increase. It goes on to say that an embedded emulation device provides designers true visibility inside highly integrated SoC microcontrollers. However, system-on-a-chip integration of multiple cores at high clock speeds creates some challenges when debugging these systems.
