WiMo Robot Web Site

Posted by Ken Cheung in Robotics,Wireless on Wednesday, May 24, 2006

Brian of the Windows Mobile Team Blog created a web site for his WiMo robot. I blogged about the robot previously. In his post today, Brian indicated he will be putting hardware plans and source code on his new site.

I took a look at his new site. So far, the site has three sections. The first section explains what WiMo is (its a robot powered by a Windows Mobile smartphone). The other two sections cover how to build the robot and a history of the robot (WiMo is actually WiMo II). The building section lists three books and contains a list of parts and vendors. It looks like the robot will cost about $250 to build.

Here’s a doctored photo of the robot (the one on the WiMo site looks like it has a giant propeller on its head).
