Power Management, Key to Auto Electronics Efficiency

Posted by Ken Cheung in Events, Training on Thursday, May 11, 2006

There’s an Automotive DesignLine web seminar taking place next Wednesday, May 17th. The seminar will feature Rick DeMeis, Site Editor, Automotive DesignLine; Don Laybourn, Field Technical Marketing, Freescale Semiconductor; and Dr. Ian Kennedy, Development Engineer, Philips Semiconductor.

The seminar will address some of the issues and trends involving automotive electronics power management. With ever increasing electronics features in today’s cars, husbanding electric power resources is vital to ensure each electrical component has adequate power to function, prolong battery life, and improve fuel economy and driver security systems.

The Q&A session will highlight what technologies are still required for further efficiencies, technology challenges to be overcome, tips for engineers in designing such devices, and what pitfalls designers should avoid in incorporating improvements.
